SO BE ENLIGHTENED

"Men can starve from a lack of self-realization as much as they can from a lack of bread." - Richard Wright

The quest for enlightenment (or awareness or awakening of conscious) is reaching critical mass. The Eckhart Tolle / Oprah online class has take attention on this subject to new levels with over 2,000,000 participants in their class.

Awareness

A coach can help you grow your awareness to levels that, when looking back, were unknown to you when you began working with your coach. Only when things are brought into awareness is one able to fundamentally change. I offer programs for development of awareness. I am with you every step of the way and look forward to embarking on such a journey with your soul. When you’re ready, anything is possible.

Confidence

There's nothing more compelling than awareness to build confidence. Awareness changes our perspective. Previous fears and worries about ourselves, those around us and our world begin to dissipate. A new reality sets in. We feel connected, happy, joyous and free. We are living in the moment.

Connection

Human happiness results from connection. How and why we connect with the people in our lives is as important as how we connect with ourselves. Reviewing your current connections is part of this process. Learning new ways of connecting based on who you really are ensures you will be moving in the right direction.

Are you ready?

SOME OF MY FAVORITE QUOTES ON THE SUBJECT

"Real love is a permanently self-enlarging experience." - M. Scott Peck, The Road Less Travelled

"As one develops self-awareness and self-regulation, he or she tends to have fewer emotional reactions and more genuine feelings" - Coach U, The CoachU Personal and Corporate Coach Training Handbook

"The word enlightenment conjures up the idea of some super-human accomplishment, and the ego likes to keep it that way, but it is simply your natural state of felt oneness with Being.""It is finding your true nature beyond name and form. The inability to feel this connectedness gives rise to the illusion of separation, from yourself and from the world around you. You then perceive yourself, consciously or unconsciously, as an isolated fragment. Fear arises, and conflict within and without becomes the norm." - Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now

"We are not merely the physical creation of our parents; we are also the spiritual creation. You were born to these two people and their lives had an irrevocable effect on who you are. To discover your real self, you must admit that the real you began in a position between their truths. That’s why you were born there: to take a higher perspective on what they stood for. Your path is about discovering a truth that is a higher synthesis of what these two people believed." - James Redfield, The Celestine Prophecy

"You see, the problem in life isn't receiving answers. The problem is in identifying your current questions. Once you get the questions right, the answers always come. - James Redfield

"One decision changes your entire reality. But that one decision you have to make again and again and again – until it becomes natural to live in such a way." - Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth

"Your inner purpose is to awaken. It's as simple as that." - Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth

SOME OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT

When one first begins on their path to "being", it is often difficult to balance your new awareness with your current life responsibilities and commitments. Inevitably, these will change over time with your newfound awareness, but in the meantime, my advice is to keep on reading, and eventually this awareness will become a part of your everyday existence without even trying or thinking about it.

Setting aside 10 minutes each morning and evening as well as 10 minutes during lunch or the middle of the day to read about awareness will automatically bring you back to yourself, your being. The stresses of the day, the future, and yesterday automatically disappear. Try it! You might like it!

  1. The Road Less Travelled by M. Scott Peck (This is what started the soul-searching for me. It also trumps the old idea of psychoanalysis/therapy being for the weak. Going into psychoanalysis is actually for the brave ones - those with enough courage to face their fears and insecurities. What an amazing book!)

  2. A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle (Love this! The latest thinking on the purpose of humanity, a must read!)
